{"id":27,"date":"2022-01-22T09:38:15","date_gmt":"2022-01-22T09:38:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tps.phys.tue.nl\/luo\/?page_id=27"},"modified":"2023-05-06T07:23:41","modified_gmt":"2023-05-06T07:23:41","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tps.phys.tue.nl\/luo\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Chengjie Luo received his Ph.D. degree from the <a href=\"http:\/\/tps.phys.tue.nl\/janssen\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/tps.phys.tue.nl\/janssen\/\">Non-Equilibrium Soft Matter group of Liesbeth Janssen<\/a>, part of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tue.nl\/en\/research\/research-groups\/soft-matter-and-biological-physics\/\">Soft Matter and Biological Physics<\/a>\u00a0(SMB) research unit at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tue.nl\/en\/our-university\/departments\/applied-physics\/\">Department of Applied Physics<\/a>\u00a0at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tue.nl\/en\/\">Eindhoven University of Technology<\/a>.\u00a0Now Chengjie is a post-doc researcher in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zwickergroup.org\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.zwickergroup.org\">Theory of Biological Fluids group of David Zwicker<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ds.mpg.de\/en\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.ds.mpg.de\/en\">the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization (MPI-DS)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chengjie Luo focuses on the systems that are out of thermodynamic equilibrium, including supercooled liquids, glasses, and living cells. He develops theories and simulations to better understand the underlying principles of these systems comprising soft and active matter.
