About

Chengjie Luo received his Ph.D. degree from the Non-Equilibrium Soft Matter group of Liesbeth Janssen, part of the Soft Matter and Biological Physics (SMB) research unit at the Department of Applied Physics at Eindhoven University of Technology. Now Chengjie is a post-doc researcher in the Theory of Biological Fluids group of David Zwicker in the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization (MPI-DS).

Chengjie Luo focuses on the systems that are out of thermodynamic equilibrium, including supercooled liquids, glasses, and living cells. He develops theories and simulations to better understand the underlying principles of these systems comprising soft and active matter. Recently, he became interested in theories describing biomolecular condensates and phase separation.
